SUPERGIRL SATURDAYS!

Kara visits orphanages with Lena every other Saturday, not just the ones in National City. They do events there where people can buy autographs by donating to the orphanage.

Kids get more exposure to potential adoptees and sometimes the people that came for supergirl start volunteering bc they fall in love with spending time with the kids.

LCorp holds “get to know the kids” events with big carnivals and potential families and kids get to know each other in a light-hearted environment.

There’s a Luthor Family scholarship that comes directly out of Lena’s pocket with 10 benefactors a year and LCorp gives 100 full ride scholarships a year.

Lena and Kara just continue adopting kids, especially the ones others consider “less adoptable” and Kara always goes out of her way to find other aliens from planets that are long gone.

Lena sets up a group for humans raising aliens so that the kids can still learn about their culture. Kara uses DEO files to find out what she can about orphans that landed when they couldn’t remember their home planet and have no one left, like Kal-El.

Lena has an “extended family” network in the triple digits and she knows everyone’s birthdays.

lena getting mad at kara when she finds out she’s supergirl, not because she is mad about her hiding that from her, but because she has ranted to kara so many times about projects where she ‘just couldn’t figure out what was wrong’ and kara probably knew exactly what was wrong the whole time and had to hide that because she didn’t want to give away any hints that she was that smart

‘you were an alien the whole time and you knew how to help me i cannot BELIEVE you ms. kara danvers i will not forgive you for this for at LEAST another hour’

Can we stop and talk about the fact that Lena and Kara are close enough for Lena to know that Kara’s favorite band is NSYNC and that she loves JT and Britt? For her to equate those two things in an either or scenario, she knew that Kara loved both of those things a lot. Like in the last 3-4 episodes that Lena has been in, basically 2×15 to now, we’ve gotten so much implied information about just how much Lena and Kara hang out. 

2×15 – Lena was there to pick Kara up for a kombucha date. And somehow wasn’t even irritated that Kara forgot. And we finally got confirmation that Lena and Kara shared their cellphone numbers. 

2×18 – Lena was comfortable enough to visit Kara’s apartment and make herself at home. Like they had done this multiple times before. The first time in 2×05, she was really shy and hoping that she hadn’t overstepped her boundaries in visiting Kara. She went to Kara for emotional strength after being put in a vulnerable place with Jack. She called Kara, hoping that she would talk her out of going to dinner with Jack. She wasn’t angry with Kara for snooping around Jack and didn’t immediately try to get Kara to cover for Jack. Rather she asked that she be allowed to talk to Jack before Kara published anything. She willingly took comfort in Kara after Jack’s death. 

2×19 – Lena called Kara for advice about what to do about Rhea. She called Kara back to check up on her. And invited her out to brunch. And Kara said not kale again, which implies they’ve done brunch multiple times. 

2×20 – Lena canceled lunch with Kara three times before just bringing lunch to Kara at Catco because one time she wasn’t busy, Kara was. And said Kara was worth the extra effort. And the NSYNC and JT/Britt thing. 

So like, they are legit best friends who hang out and do stuff together. And that gives me life.
