Just a reminder that while positivity is a great tool it is not healthy to:
- repress negative thoughts/feelings
- feel guilty for having negative thoughts/feelings
- feel that you can’t express negative thoughts/feelings
Negative emotions are a part of life, and a truly balanced cognitive strategy will accept this (while working to change the balance of good to bad and teaching you coping strategies/self care/distraction etc)

right now you might be in a situation that you think you won’t survive but six months ago you were in a situation that you didn’t think you’d survive and two years before that you were in a situation you didn’t think you’d survive and the point is you will always surprise yourself and you will always make it through
just in case you need to hear this today:
- you are not a failure
- you are not a waste of space
- you are loved
- you are wanted
- I believe in you
- you can do it!!!!
*puts my hand on your discouraged shoulder* not only are you smart and capable, but your potential is immeasurable and you will go on to do great things in your life time
