chandler bing from friends was such a complete trainwreck of a person (jokes when distressed/severe relationship anxiety/social awkwardness/cynicism towards self) and I don’t think i’ve ever related to a tv character more mentally and spiritually in my entire life

He is not a trainwreck, he is a human being.

Despite his issues with anxiety and insecurity, he was doing very well even before he married Monica.

He had a secure job (even though he hated it), he saved money (he paid the whole wedding by himself), and he was more mature than he gave himself credit for.

He had the best friendship on the show with Joey. They were extremelly loyal and cared for each other a lot. And Chandler even paid Joey’s bills and acting classes for years.

He ended up marrying one of his best friends, and had the cutest, sweetest relationship with her, full of understanding and stability.

He had the courage to quit his secure job to go after something he would really live to work on (despite having no garantee he would find it)

Chandler gives me hope. He did very well.

forget my old post,,,,chandler bing suffered from both anxiety and insecurity and still managed to have a happy life surrounded by people he loved

and therefore THIS is the character i want to relate to mentally and spiritually one day
